I just updated the Etsy Shop.
I've been thinking about Christmas knitting. I have listed some very bulky, hand dyed yarns that will knit up super quick for last minute presents. They are fun and vibrant. I am thinking about making a mobius cowl with one of the bulky yarns, I kept for myself. I also updated the shop with some laceweight BFL yarns and some sock yarn.
Is anyone doing any Christmas knitting? What projects will you be making? I am feeling the waves of calm and panic just thinking about it. Yeah it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
Hi Laura. I was in your sock club for Autumn, and am only getting around to knitting using one of the skeins now. I made the, I now think, rookie mistake of trying to knit directly from the skein (according to the learn to knit site, I should have wound into into a ball first?), and I now have a totally jumbled mess on my hands. I used the 'The yarn that knew too much' as it was my favourite, and had got off to a flying start knitting my first ever pair of socks for my mother in law. I spent hours, and a lot of tears trying to unravel my wool last night - have you any hints on how I can do this in a way that I can still use the wool afterwards? I feel so stupid that I didn't do a bit more research before diving on in & knitting - I think the Christmas knitting deadline got the better of me. As it is, I don't fancy my chances of unraveling the wool in time for Christmas, never mind knitting in time! Anyway, any advice you have (other than look before you leap!) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
